Beloved friends and community~
Embrace it or resist–the river of life just keeps flowing! It is with deep reverence and a tender heart that I’m reaching out today to let you know that I will be taking a break from my practice for an indeterminate amount of time. I’m having some health issues that have forced this decision, and my time off will begin mid-July. Admittedly, I’ve dreamt of taking a sabbatical for a while to explore other interests and passions–travel, further education, living closer to the
ground, learning to coax food from dirt and worm poo. However, it is ultimately the need to slow down and focus on my own health and wellbeing that is has prompted this change.
Change can feel deeply unsettling (I'm right there with you!) and this announcement may bring up a mix of emotions for some–surprise, grief and loss (Eeeek! Who will I see now for acupuncture?!! ), as well as concern, care and empathy. Honor whatever may arise. Please also remember the deep well of resources you have for taking sweet care of yourself, all things upon which we focus in the treatment room. Get out into nature, play, nourish yourself with healthy foods, take mindful pauses, move and stretch to invigorate qi and blood, foster positive connections, get in for acupuncture and bodywork with other practitioners, let go of what is no longer serving, talk kindly to yourself. I fully trust in the ability of each of us to skillfully take sweet care, first of ourselves, then of each other and our collective home.
And please stay tuned! While I have no idea what the upcoming path holds for me, it is my hope to be able to return to my practice in a sustainable way in the near future.
Getting to work with each of you is an honor and a role I cherish. I am consistently touched and inspired to grow from the sacred space we co-create. From the bottom of my heart, thank you! Thank you for showing up, for your authenticity, for entrusting me with your care and for your ongoing support of my small, humble practice

Transition Details
Last Day of Practice: My final day seeing clients will be July 21st. If you would like to book a final session before then, please do so online soon.
Contacting the Office: Our office manager, Madi, will still be available through the transition to help handle some of the logistics, including questions, scheduling, and maintaining your Fullscript accounts. You can reach her at ks@roothealthclinic.com and 541-791-6878.
Medical Records: Your charts and medical records will be securely stored. If you need a copy of your records transferred to a new practitioner, please contact us.
Referrals: Below is an incomplete list of acupuncture practitioners in the area that you can reach out to for care while I am on leave:
Office Space Availability: On a separate note, my current office space will be available for rent starting this summer. If you or someone you know is looking for a beautiful wellness space, details will be posted soon on Craigslist and through Brennan Properties.
Supplements
Even though our physical office is closing, we want to ensure you still have access to the high-quality supplements you rely on. We have set up a virtual dispensary through Fullscript for our community. If you choose to order your supplements this way, it is a great way to continue supporting our small business while I am on leave. To get set up, please [Click This Link] to submit your information. This will allow us to create your account and, if necessary, attach specific product recommendations to your profile so you can order what you need from home.
